Faye is a spunky 8 year old who was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes a year ago. Over the last year she has been so brave, going along with every poke, prod and wave of uncertainty with grace, strength and smile on her face. She has never once complained or said “why me?” (even though her parents have haha), instead she has let her diagnosis fuel her ambitions and goals even further.

Her biggest love and talent is gymnastics, and T1D hasn’t slowed her down one bit, in fact, her coaches say she has moved quicker through levels than most kids they have seen. When asked how she wanted to celebrate her first ‘diaversary’ her response was none other than “a huge gymnastics party where kids can bring toys for the other kids in the hospital being diagnosed with diabetes.”

Together with friends and family, we decided to make this into a reality for her. So please join us in celebrating the strength and resiliency Faye has shown over this first year by bringing a toy to donate and running, jumping, playing, flipping and truly encouraging one another that T1D has no bounds over being a kid.
